Abstract
374,980. Wireless receiving systems; valve amplifying circuits. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd., Caxton House, Tothill Street, and REED, M., 37, Westbank, Stamford Hill, both in London. March 27, 1931, No. 9365. [Class 40 (v).] In a heterodyne receiver for wireless telegraphy, a circuit LC resonant to the beat frequency is connected to the anode of a rectifying or amplifying valve V through a variable condenser K which allows the selectivity factor of the receiver to be adjusted. Phones or a further amplifier may be connected at the terminals AR across the whole or part of the inductance L. The condenser K may be of the ordinary type, or may as shown comprise a differential condenser so that its adjustment may not affect the tuning of the circuit LC.
