Aug. 27, 1931, No. 24162. Convention date, Sept. 4, 1930. [Class 135.] A diaphragmactuated pressure regulator has the valve member arranged coaxially with the inlet and outlet conduits and has the abutment ring for the load arranged about the high pressure part of the casing and a support for the diaphragm. A member e encircling the inlet part t of the casing is secured in position by a pair of pins f and is formed with a flange c. The centre of the actuating diaphragm d is clamped to the part t by a nut m while the periphery is clamped between the flange c and a corresponding flange k on the low-pressure part of the casing. The valve member r is supported by a ported bridge p secured to an intermediate part of the diaphragm by screw q and ring n. The ring n carries upstanding projections o passing through apertures in the flange c to support the loading abutment ring i. In the form shown the valve is loaded by a spring surrounding the member e and bearing against an adjustable abutment; a dead weight load may however be employed. Two regulators may be arranged in series.
