Class 135 In a valve for gas pumps, such as air compressors, and of the kind comprising a thin metal valve plate a, Fig. 1, secured to a pair of resilient radial arms e, Fig. 2, on a cushion plate f, the central part of the plate a is secured to the arms e by an annular clamping means. As shown, the latter means comprises co-operating screwed rings c, g, Fig. 4. Ring c carries lugs d which overlie corresponding lugs on the valve plate and the resilient arms, and the rings c,.g are prevented from unscrewing by a split cotter pin h.
