690,016. Diaphragms. BASEL, C. VON. Aug. 14, 1951 [Aug. 25, 1950], No. 19096/51. Class 40 (iv). [Also in Group XIX] A diaphragm 1 secured by welding, riveting or the like to a ring 2 is supported and tensioned by a flange 5 of an annulus in screw-thread connection with the ring 2. An accelerator, Fig. 2, comprises two such diaphragms connected by a rod 9 carrying a weight 8, the two annuli being screwed into a casing 12. In a modification, Fig. 3, the rings 2 are separated by a ring 15 and the diaphragms by a distance-piece 14.
