Abstract
373,817. Discharge lamps. SKAUPY, F., 27, Paulinenstrasse, Lichterfelde, Berlin. June 29, 1931, No. 18792. Convention date, July 14, 1930. [Class 39 (i).] Positive-column discharge lamps are filled with a neon-helium mixture with a preponderance, for example 75 per cent, of helium, to produce approximately white light and are provided with a coloured glass casing or a coloured coating. Coloured light for advertizing is thus obtained or daylight may be obtained by using a blue casing. Cold or incandescent electrodes may be used. In television, current impulses are applied to two main electrodes and a continuous auxiliary discharge is passed between the cathode and a third electrode. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use, with a casing of uncoloured glass, of a filter disc of coloured glass, horn &c. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
