Abstract

373,304. Temperature alarms. BROCK, B., Red House, Hersham Road, Walton-on-Thames. March 4, 1931, Nos. 6764 and 11344. [Class 47 (i).] An alarm of the kind in which an explosive cartridge is fired by a spring-pressed striker when the latter is released by thermallysensitive means, comprises a twopart casing 1, 7, the cartridge 6 being held by its flange 11 between the flanges 9, 10 of the casing. The striker 3 is guided in the part 1 of the casing, and is held in raised position by a fusible key 4 engaged in a slot in the striker. The key is so shaped as to prevent its lateral displacement. In a modification, the fusible key is replaced by a bursting bulb held in compression between the top of the casing 1 and an arm projecting from the upper end of the striker.
