Abstract

371,505. Safety razors. KIPOUROPOULOS, N., 47, Boulevard des Dames, Marseilles, France. Feb. 9, 1931, No. 4080. [Class 30.] A safety razor consists of a hollow handle 2 into which fits a rod 3, rotatable by a knob 4, held against axial movement by a screw 5, and provided with a threaded socket portion 6 to receive the stem 7 of a blade-clamping plate 8 ; the handle has guard teeth. The blade 9 is mounted by guide members 13 and locking-members 14 on a holder 10, which is pivotally carried by a shaft 11 secured to lugs on the handle 2, and with the clamping plate removed is normally held by springs 12 in the position shown in Fig. 3 for stropping the blade in a special case.
