Abstract

360,988. Safety razors. FRASER, W. P., Assembly Works, Middle Lane, Hornsey, London. May 19, 1930, No. 15384. [Class 30.] In a safety razor of the kind having a clamped blade of circular or other closed curve shape, particularly for shaving under the arms, the clamping plate 1 is steeply domed relative to its small diameter, as is also the guard 4 throughout substantially the whole of its area in contact with the blade 2. The clamping plate has an internally threaded boss 7 received in the guard and engaged for clamping by the threaded stub end of the handle 5. The annular blade 2 may be domed or flat and brought to the desired position by clamping. The handle may be of a lighter material than the remaining parts, which may be of metal, or one or all of the parts may be of a lightweight casein product.
