Abstract

422,083. Safety razors. SCHERMACK, J. J., 1164, West Baltimore Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dec. 2, 1933, No. 33924. [Class 30] In a circular safety razor for ladies' use a flat blade 6 is deflected to conical form on being clamped by the cap 3, the inner face of which is conically recessed, against a shoulder 8 on the crenelated guard member 5. Either the guard member or the cap has diametrically opposite segments 10, 11 overlapping the blade to prevent injury during use by shearing cuts at the sides. The guard and the blade have square apertures engaging a squared portion 4 on the pin projecting from the cap, which pin is also screwed to receive the handle 1.
