Abstract
371,013. Vehicle brakes. SCARFF, M., 2, Welbeck Mansions, Hammersmith Road, London. Jan. 3, 1931, No. 308. [Class 103 (i).] In association with a tractor-trailer coupling arrangement wherein the front end of a twowheeled trailer is pivoted on the rear end of the tractor, the lower end of a brake operating lever 35 on the trailer is located in an annular groove in a member 34 secured to the tractor frame. The socket member for the coupling pivot being cairied by a spring controlled slidable mounting on the tractor, its movement relative to the member 34, when the trailer tends to overrun, causes the brakes to be applied.
