Abstract

Magnetic alloys contain 0,5-3,5 per cent o-cobalt and 30-64 per cent of nickel, the ref mainder being iron and less than 5 per cent of other elements and impurities. The other elements may comprise copper, aluminium, chromium, vanadium, and silicon, the amount of any single element not exceeding 4,5 per cent. Phosphorus and sulphur should be less than 0,2 and 0,01 per cent respectively. The alloy may be heated at about 800-1100 DEG C. for at least 1 hour and slowly cooled to 200 DEG C. over a period of from 1-24 hours. Specification 347,305 is referred to.
