Abstract

<PICT:0370293/III/1> In apparatus for extracting oil from fish, whales, or other animals by boiling, the tube 2, through which the boiled mass is forced to the separator 1 by steam pressure, is provided with a conical or like guide plate 4 and preferably with a broad adjustable flange 3 to prevent sucking down of the separated oil into the "grax." The plate 4 may be adjustable vertically, as by bolts 5, 6.
