[Class 44.] A fastening device for windows which are opened on scissors-like levers 7, 8, into a parallel position outside the frame by a sliding link 3 having pin-and-slot connection with an actuating lever 9, comprises pins on the links 3 adapted to engage in inclined slots in brackets 12 on the sashes during a lost movement of the opening due to a flat part of the actuating slot 14. In a modification, Fig. 15, the fastening comprises slotted brackets 46 on the sliding links 23 and fixed slotted members 48 which engage the pins 40 on which the sash is supported during the final closing movement.
