Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 100 (ii).] Tripping - arrangements.-In a multi-colour rotary offset machine of the kind in which a number of offset cylinders 1 ..4 are mounted in eccentric bearings 6 around an impression cylinder 5, and the bearings are connected for common operation by interconnected lever-andlink mechanism, the mechanism for rotating the bearings 6 is detachably connected to the lever-and-link mechanism so that impressions can be taken from either offset cylinder singly or from any desired combination of cylinders. The bearings 6 of the offset cylinder 4 are controlled by toggle levers 8, 11 connected by links 12 to levers 14 which are connected with similar mechanism for operating the other bearings 6. The links 12, instead of operating the levers 11 directly, operate levers 50 freely mounted on the pivot pins 10 of the levers 11, and each lever 50 is detachably connected to a lever 11 by means of a bolt 51, Fig. 2, which is movable axially by means of a rotating nut 54 which engages a threaded pin 53 on the bolt 51. The bolt 51 is prevented from rotary movement by a key 52, and the nut 54 from axial movement by a member 55. When the bolt 51 is disconnected from the lever 50, the lever 11 is preferably moved by spring to cause the offset roller to be moved out of printing position. The levers 11, 51 may be detachably connected in other ways.
