Rotary machines; tripping-arrangements. - A multicolour rotary printing-machine, of the kind comprising a number of printing-cylinders 12, 12b, 12<c>, impressions cylinders 3, 3<b>, 3<c>, one cooperating with each printing-cylinder, and transfer cylinders 16, 16b between the impression cylinders, together with eccentric means for moving the impression cylinders into contact with the printing-cylinders at the commencement of each impression, and out of contact at the end of each impression, is constructed so that the eccentrics 15, 15b, 15<c> are operated from cams 19, 19<b>, 19<c> on the printing-cylinders through trip mechanism comprising tappet levers 20, 20<b>, 20<c> which in their operative positions engage holes or forks 22, 22<b>, 22<c> in rods 21, 21b, 21<c> connected to the eccentrics 15, 15<b>, 15<c>. The tappet levers 20, 20<c>, 20<b> can be disconnected from the rods 21 &c. by means of pedals 27, 27<b>, 27<c> connected separately by levers and links to levers 24, 24b, 24<c> capable of moving the forks 22 &c. out of engagement with their operating-levers. The machine may be constructed with any number of printing-couples. Specification 215,825 is referred to.
