Abstract
Homogeneous armour plate is made from steel alloys containing about 2-4 per cent of chromium, not more than about 0,26 per cent of carbon, and either 0,15-1 per cent of molybdenum or 0,3-3 per cent of tungsten, with or without up to 3 per cent of nickel, the chromium being not less than the nickel, and the total of nickel and chromium being not more than 5,4 per cent. After hardening, the plates may be tempered at up to 700 DEG or 750 DEG C.
