[Class 135.] Valves controlled by pilot or relay valve.-In a flushing valve for water closets and of the piston-operated type, as 1, 5, controlled by a tilting valve 10 set in action by a handle 14 and push-rod 13 contacting with the telescopic end 12 of the control valve spindle 9, there is fitted in the inlet branch 8, in front of the main valve 1, 2, a butterfly throttle valve 17. By adjustment of this throttle the velocity of flow of the water through the valve 1, 2 can be regulated as desired.
