Abstract
310,137. Small, A. G. M. Feb. 28, 1928. Thermostats.-A thermostat comprising a lift valve 18 actuated by a copper tube 10 acting through an Invar rod 9 and lever 7 is provided with a three-way cock 3 adapted to control the main and bye-pass passages so that both passages or the main passage alone may be closed. The valve member is adjustably screwed to a spindle carried by a block 19 pivoted to the lever 7 and is secured in its adjusted position by a set screw 22. The lever 7 is pivoted to a sleeve 21 fitting into the body of the thermostat. The bye-pass passage is separately controlled by a cock 15 and is provided with a dirt trap 14.
