368,283. Cables. BROWN, W., 89, Douglas Street, Glasgow. Dec. 2, 1930, No. 36284. [Class 36.] The hollow conductors 2 of a multicore cable, having impregnated insulation 3 enclosed in a metal sheath 4, are filled with oilsaturated jute or other absorbent compressible material 1 and are surrounded by perforated metallic sheaths 5 which permit flow of oil from the interior of each conductor to the space between the cores and the metal sheath 4. The space between the cores is preferably filled with oil-saturated jute 6.
