Abstract

368,213. Mudguards for perambulators, &c. SPEEDWELL GEAR CASE CO., Ltd. and SPENCER, J., 276, Broad Street, Birmingham. Dec. 3, 1931, No. 33470. [Class 136 (i).] The stays 2 of a mudguard for perambulators, children's motor cars, &c. are connected to a plate 4 provided with a hole 8 whereby it may be directly bolted to the axle 7. The plate 4 is of angle section, the hole 8 being provided in the horizontal flange 5, which may be bent into channel form at 6 so as to engage the sides of the axle 7, in addition to engaging the top, when the plate is attached to the axle by a vertical bolt 9 engaging the hole 8. Two further holes 10 may be provided, so that the plate can alternatively be attached to the axle by means of a complementary clip plate engaging the underside of the axle in the usual way.
