Abstract

191,986. Dobeson, J. March 10, 1922. Axles.-The wheels of a collierv or like corve are mounted on a non- rotatable axle e, upon which rests a detachable saddle-shaped block d and the underhalf of which is embraced by a U- shaped bolt f, a clearance g being left between the axle and bolt so as to allow the axle a predetermined amount of vertical play. The ends h of the bolt f project through lugs i on a metal frame a which is recessed on the lower side for the reception of the saddle-shaped block d. In a modification, Fig. 3, the block d is received direct into the lower side of the wooden frame k of the corve and the bolt f passes through the block d and frame k.
