Abstract
367,661. Shock absorbers. AUTOPRODUCT GES., 17, Katharinen Strasse, Halensee, Berlin. May 23, 1931, No. 15314. Convention date, April 23. [Class 108 (iii).] An oscillation damper for reducing front-wheel wobble of motor vehicles comprises a track rod having two elastically - connected parts a, d movable relatively to each other, and a frictional damper connected to the two parts of the track rod. In the construction shown in the Figure, the damper comprises a pair of elastic plates k<1> connected by a rod j<1> and arm m to the tubular track rod a, and a friction shoe situated between the plates and connected by a rod h<1> and arm l to the second part d of the track rod. The plates k<1> are pressed on the shoe by a bolt o and spring p, and the shoe is slotted for the passage of the bolt.
