254,414. Alvis Car & Engineering Co., Ltd., and Clarke, G. T. Smith-. April 8, 1925. Springs, arrangement of. - The front axle of a motor vehicle is connected to the frame by springs and a telescopic radius rod 5, so that the axle can rock and thus vary the castor action of the wheels. A dashpot may be provided between the two parts of the radius rod, or a frictional shock absorber may be arranged in conjunction with a pivoted-sliding connection between the radius rod and frame.
