Abstract
367,425. Junction boxes. BOWER, R. J. S., 14, Nicholas Lane, King William Street, London. Nov. 18, 1930, No. 34759. [Class 38 (i).] A box 1 for the connection or change of direction of conductors of two or more separate systems is divided by a fixed or removable partition member 2 into isolated channels for each system, so arranged that both ends of every conductor in the box are accessible without removing the partition member. From the chamber 8a one system of conductors can proceed in four directions to the openings 4a, 7a, 5a, 6a, the conductor passing through the opening 5a, lying under a bridge 12 and over a bridge 9a that isolate it from the conductors entering by the openings 4b, 4c respectively and belonging to the other systems. A similar chamber 8c distributes the conductors of a second system and the central chamber 8b the third system. Access to the lower conductors is also given by spaces 10a, 10c. The box may be lined with insulating material and the partition member may be of metal or insulation.
