367,033. Night latches. PARKES & SONS, Ltd., J. and PARKES, H. G., Union Works, Willenhall, Staffordshire. Nov. 15, 1930, No. 34441. [Class 44.] A night latch, that described being of pintumbler type, has an independent h a n d - operated deadlocking bolt t, operable by a knob p and with a rounded projection over which rides a plate spring u to retain the bolt against accidental displace - ment. The latch bolt C may be held withdrawn against the action of the springs f, f<1> by a lever m engaging behind the tail-piece e and operable by a finger-piece k projecting through the rim of the lock case a. The springs f, f<1> bear against a plate D one end of which bears against a fixed abutment g, the other end having a rounded shoulder n co-operating under action of the springs with a projection h on lever m to retain the lever in its locking and release positions.
