366,697. Doors for resisting fluid pressure. FONDERIE DE CUIVRE ET D'ANTIFRICTION D'AUVELAIS SEVRIN ET MIGEOT, Auvelais, Namur, Belgium. Jan. 19, 1931, No. 1747. Convention date, Jan. 17, 1930. [Class 123 (i).] In a closure for a pressure reservoir 1 comprising a strap 2 at the periphery of the opening, a sliding door 3 engaging the face of the strap, and U-section members 8, 12 engaging the door and the strap, the latter is provided with a groove 14 connected to a source 'of pressure fluid. The groove houses elastic packing 15 and is connected to the pressure fluid by an inlet 16. The door 3 is balanced by a weight and is fixed to the member 8 on half of its periphery by a flange 9, and on lowering the door the member engages the rear edge of the strap by a flange 10. The member 12 is fixed to the strap by a flange 13 and engages the door by a flange 11. The ends of the members 8, 12 are provided with lugs 18 which register when the door is closed.
