Abstract

364,899. Swivelling couplings. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Feb. 17, 1931, No. 4961. Convention date, March 8, 1930. [Class 38 (i).] A swivelling connection to an electrically heated hand tool, such as curling tongs, has sliding connections for the current leads and for an earth connection. The current leads are attached to springs 10 attached to the casing 4 that slide upon cylindrical contacts 9, 9a connected to the leads 8 of the heater. The handle 2 of the tongs is rotatably connected to the casing 4 by a flange 3 against which presses a spring 12 attached to a metal strip 13. At the other end the strip 13 is riveted to a cable clamp 14, 15, or to another metal part, to which the earth lead is attached as at 18. A support 17 for the lead 8 is also secured in the clamp 14, 15.
