Abstract

471,902. Hair - waving appliances. TIRACCHINI, V. E. March 11, 1936, No. 7342. [Class 131] The wound tress is held against a heating- element 1 with a concave surface by means of spring jaws 14, so that only a portion of this tress is in contact with the surface and tresses of different size can be accommodated. The jaws 14 are carried on arms 8 pivoted on a bar 18 passing through the arms of a U-shaped block 2. They are provided with thumb-pieces 12 and urged together by a spring 18. The edges of the jaws are slotted as shown at 15 to allow the hair to pass. The block 2 carries terminals for supply of current for heating and an earthing terminal.
