Plug couplings and connectors.- The plug member of a plug-andsocket coupling comprises one or more U-shaped springs secured to the outer end 4 of a central stem 1 by means of a cap, sleeve or like member 6, the free ends of the spring or springs extending backwards from the outer ends of the stem. In the form shown, two springs 5, 51, arranged at rightangles, are used. The stem may be formed with a shoulder, as shown, or with a groove into which the edge of the cap may be pressed. or the springs and the cap may be welded or sweated together.
