Abstract
255,572. Crabtree, J. A. May 6, 1925. Two-part couplings.-In an electric coupling or lamp-holder, the sleeve b, which engages the complementary part of the coupling, is of skeleton character where it is embedded in the moulded insulator a, and the material a extends integrally through interstices in the sleeve b. The skeleton characteristic is obtained in several ways, the sleeve b may have one or more rows of perforations e, Fig. 3, or be provided with tongues f, Fig. 7, either terminating in T-heads or having serrated sides. Shorter tongues f<2> can be employed to fill in the space, if any, between the main tongue f and the lower end of the insulator a. The sleeve b may also be split into a number of separate parts.
