459,284. Two-part couplings. RHEINMETALL - BORSIG AKT.-GES., 125, Ulmenstrasse, Derendorf, D³sseldorf, and ZUR WIESCH, W. S., 69, Schlachthofstrasse, Erfurt, both in Germany. Sept. 18, 1936, No: 25428. [Class 38 (i)] In order to provide an improved connection between a plug and the socket of an electric battery, the plug is secured in position by an abutment which acts on the plug through the medium of a resilient member. As shown, the plug a is provided at the top with a projecting helical spring b. The container c is of such size that the cover c<1> presses on the spring and holds the pin a<1> firmly in the socket d<1>, thus compensating for differences in the depth and position of sockets. The pin is formed with radially opposite grooves a<2> in which are disposed a number of springs e looped through a hole in the end of the pin to form a resilient plug. The lead f is introduced from the side to avoid interference with the action of the spring.
