Abstract

[Class 38 (i)] A socket member b carrying contact sockets d attached to supply leads through fuses g has means for securing the fuses to the socket-carrying part of the divided body of the member b so that when the part k is removed to give access to the fuses, the latter are not live. For this purpose the fuses pass through slots in a plate a that fit the body of the fuses but prevent the caps h from passing. The plate a is secured by a screw and is detached when it is desired to remove the fuses. Alternatively slots n, Fig. 9, for the fuses may be connected to a central enlargement o so that by pulling each fuse out of its clip e and moving it to the centre it can be removed without detaching the plate a. The lower fuse clips e are made in one with the sockets d and mounted on the plate a.
