Abstract

364,892. Fire-extinguishers. SOC. ANON. ASSURO, 42, Rue de Paradis, Paris. Feb. 12, 1931, No. 4400. Convention date, Feb. 12, 1930. [Class 47 (ii).] An extinguisher of the kind embodying a compressed gas capsule 11 is provided with a tube 18 connecting the capsule-enclosing sleeve 10 with the upper end of the extinguisher above the normal liquid level, in order to conduct the gas direct to the space above the liquid. The capsule is forced against a piercer 16 by a plunger 13, a frangible sealing disc 19 being arranged between the plunger and capsule. Holes 12 in the sleeve 10 permit access of the liquid to the nozzle 8 when the disc 19 is broken. A frangible sleeve 20 is arranged to be broken by the plunger 13 when it is operated, to indicate that the extinguisher has been used.
