364,156. Feeding sheets. LINOTYPE & MACHINERY, Ltd., 9, Kingsway, London, and LEE, W., Ivy Bank, The Downs, Altrincham, Cheshire. Oct. 2, 1930, No. 29471. [Class 100 (i).] Sheet-separators.-In connection with sheet-feeding apparatus of the kind in which a suction separator is used in conjunction with an air blast to effect a preliminary separation of the sheets, the sucker 1 is connected to its carrier 3 by means of a ball and socket joint so as to enable the sucker to be adjusted to the desired angle.. The sucker is secured in an airtight manner to the ball 2 of the joint, and the socket 4 of the joint is screwed on to the carrier 3 after the mouthpiece of the sucker has been adjusted parallel to the top of the pile. If desired the sucker may be secured to the socket and the ball integral with the carrier.
