Convention date, April 17, 1930. [Class 35.] Motor-generators; dynamos, regulating ; exciting.-In a welding dynamo 10 having a separately-excited field winding 11 and opposing series windings 15, the current for the winding 11 is obtained from a rectifier 34 connected to an alternating-current supply 35. The winding 11 may be assisted by a winding 12 connected across the electrode 25 and work 17. The series winding may be sectionalized, and all the sections, or pairs of sections, may be connected in series as alternatives to the parallel connection.
