Abstract
363,804. Heating water. SUNDERLAND, L. D., SUNDERLAND, M., and SUNDERLAND, R., 331, Highfield Road, Idle, Bradford, Yorkshire. Dec. 9, 1930, No. 37071. [Class 64 (i).] In a hot water supply system, the water in a storage tank C supplied from an overhead feed tank B is heated bv a coil D connected at its lower end to the boiler upflow pipe E and at its upper end to the boiler return pipe G<1>, which is also the hot water service pipe. The return pipe is connected to the top of the storage tank by a pipe C<1>. The storage tank and the boiler have a common expansion pipe H discharging into the feed tank. The cold feed pipe A is connected to the service pipe by a pipe G<2>. The service pipe, the top end of the coil and the expansion pipe may be connected by a junction piece opening into the top of the storage tank.
