Abstract

376,486. Heating water. TAYLOR, D., Stour Valley Foundry, Crocketts Lane, Smethwick, Staffordshire. June 30, 1931, No. 18829. [Class 64 (i).] A detachable cover for the handhole of the boiler of a domestic hot-water supply system has projecting from one side a pair of relatively short conduits 7, 9 with means for ready attachment to the main flow and return pipes, one of the conduits communicating with a dip pipe 11 projecting from the other side of the cover. The conduits and cover-plate are made as an integral casting. The conduits may have one wall in common and have screw-threaded ends. The cover has a spigot portion 4 fitting within an asbestos washer joint 6 with a lead centre.
