Abstract

363,365. Fluid-Row &c. regulating devices. HEAD, H. C., St. George's Lodge, Winchester. Sept. 16, 1930; No. ,27642. [Class 135.] A device for regulating the flow of fluids or solids comprises a plurality of rods, pins, &c. e mounted between a fixed member b and an axially moving and rotary member c, the rods, pins, &c. being freely mounted in sockets at each end so as to provide for a tilting or swinging movement, as shown, giving thereby a variable flow passage of streamline or Venturi form. For this purpose the rotary member c has a handle f projecting through an inclined slot g in the casing part a. The spaces between the rods, pins, &c. e may be sealed by fins or strips on the rods or pins. The interspaces may, however, be open as when the device is used as an air regulator in connection with fuel burners.
