Abstract

362,922. Controlling flyer motors for doffing operations. SCHNEIDER, H., 66, Zeltweg, Zurich, Switzerland. Aug. 7, 1930, No. 23726. [Class 120 (ii).] A few turns are imparted to flyer motors 8, for the purpose of winding thread on to the empty bobbins during doffing operations, by temporary application of a mechanical brake 14 to a frequency converter 4 that is running at synchronous speed. This action causes a few cycles of low frequency current to be applied to the motors. Specifications 228,846, [Class 120 (ii), Spinning, twisting, &c.] and 344,141 are referred to.
