362,311. Closures for jars. ARMSTRONG, J. J. V., 12, Church Street, Liverpool.-(Phoenix-Hermetic Co.; 2444. West 16th Street, Chicago, U.S.A.) April 21, 1931, No. 11759. [Class 125 (iii).] Relates to jar closures of the type in which a sealing band which secures the closure is spun between two ribs on the mouth of the jar. According to the invention the bead 15 which is spun between the ribs 3, 5 extends over the locking lug 21 and lifting tongue 22, and a flange on the lower edge of the locking ring engages the bead 5.
