Abstract
Steel alloys, which are free from copper and may contain up to 7,5 per cent of chromium and up to 1,9 per cent of silicon, contain either (1) up to 0,19 per cent of carbon and a total of 0,3-2 per cent of molybdenum or vanadium or both, or (2) up to 0,6 per cent of carbon, up to a total of 2 per cent of molybdenum or vanadium or both, and up to 2 per cent of titanium, the total amount of molybdenum and vanadium, or of molybdenum, vanadium, and titanium, being in each case at least twice the amount of the carbon. An example contains 0,1 per cent of carbon, 1,5 per cent of silicon, 6 per cent of chromium, and 0,35 per cent of molybdenum. Specifications 340,819, 343,464, and 348,668 are referred to.
