[Class 106 (iv).] Graduation of record surface.-In a photographic recording device as described in the parent Specification for producing ordinates on the record surface in accordance with time the rotating mirror is replaced by a swinging mirror. As shown the mirror 3 is mounted on the end of a leaf spring 4 set into oscillation by a hand thrust or other means, the reflected image of a source of light 1 being focused by a cylindrical lens 7 on to a recording drum 6 to produce a time ordinate.
