[Class 86.] Apparatus for mixing fluids in measured proportions, more particularly for supplying disinfectants to the flush water of urinals &c., comprises a reservoir for the disinfectant detachably secured to a mixing chamber which is secured to the flush pipe, water being charged to the chamber by a projecting scoop and effecting the feeding of a charge of disinfectant thereto, the mixture being discharged by a siphon. The reservoir A is fitted with a charging orifice B and with a discharge tube N feeding into a sump H. A central adjustable tube C dips into the sump and, on the mixing chamber E being charged, air is forced up the tube C to effect the discharge of a quantity of disinfectant through the tube N. The mixed disinfectant and water is discharged through a siphon G dipping into the sump. The amount of disinfectant discharged may be varied by raising the tube C, and the charge of water to the mixing chamber adjusted by means of a screw I, or by projecting the scoop F<1> further into the flush pipe. The reservoir is provided with clamping members W fitting over the beaded edge of the chamber E and retained by an encircling wire, and the chamber is secured to the flush pipe by a screw clamping arrangement.
