Abstract

357,690. Two-stroke engines. CENTRA HANDELS- & INDUSTRIE AKT.- GES., Quaderstrasse, Chur, Switzerland. July 22, 1930, No. 22097. Convention date, July 22, 1929. [Class 7 (ii).] An engine comprises a number of sets of cylinders each set consisting of three cylinders a, b, c arranged radially to a common combustion chamber. The inner pistons a<1> drive direct on to a central crank shaft d ; the outer pistons are connected in pairs to auxiliary crank shafts p which are connected by spur gearing to the main shaft. The auxiliary shafts rotate in the reverse direction to the main shaft. Two or more such engines may be arranged along the shaft.
