Abstract

356,973. Ball and roller bearings. GUEST & CHRIMES, Ltd., Don Street, and WATSON, F. M., Selwood, Doncaster Road, both in Rotherham. Oct. 18, 1930, No. 31272. [Class 12 (i).] A ball or roller bearing for a hinged non-return valve comprises a sleeve 5 secured to the valve member and rotatable about ball or roller bearings 7 carried by and removable with a shaft 2 mounted in openings la, 1b in the casing. The bearings are secured between nuts 8, 8a and the ends of the sleeve are closed by screwed plugs 9 engaging packing washers 10. The opening 1a is made sufficiently large to permit the passage of the plug 9 while in the form shown the opening 1b receives the reduced end of the shaft 2 and is closed by a cap 13. The opening lb may however be similarly arranged to the opening 1a.
