[Class 38 (i).] To facilitate entry of plug a socket has an insulating cover 2 wherein each of the entry holes 3, 4 is provided with sloping approaches 7, 8. The barrier 11 between the sockets is oblique so that to each entry hole there is one wide approach 7 and one narrow approach 8. The entry holes may be shaped to allow entrance of a plug having round or flat pins.
