Abstract
354,612. Gas masks. DEUTSCHE GASGLœHLICHT-AUER-GES., 16, Rotherstrasse, Berlin. Oct. 8, 1930, No. 30104. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1929. [Class 81 (ii).] A gas mask has an inner half-mask surrounding the mouth and nose which may be inserted or removed as required. A mask a is fitted with a ring b for the mouth, made for example of sheet metal, and p r o - vided with a thread d for connecting it to a filtering cartridge or oxygen apparatus. An inner mask e, suitably made of elastic material such as indiarubber, is shaped to the face and has an extension f which can be inserted into the annular recess of the mouth ring and secured by a locking ring g. The mask e may have tapered edges, slightly arched outwards to effect a seal with the skin, and sealing frames, bolsters, collars or the like may be provided.
