Abstract

354,064. Roof ventilators. HELM, H., Hade Edge, near Holmfirth, Yorkshire. Aug. 14, 1930, No. 24307. [Class 137.] A roof ventilator for poultry houses comprises a roof capping c of triangular section wider than and spaced above a ridge opening b. The horizontal base of the capping is provided with drip grooves c<1> to prevent the ingress of water. Parallel to and spaced from the capping are two vertical baffle boards d provided at the bottom with drainage openings d<1> and at the top with portions d<2> overhanging the edges of the capping c and sloping downwardly and outwardly. The ends of the baffle boards are joined to prevent longitudinal air currents and intermediate transverse baffles may be provided.
