Abstract

To reduce the tendency to fogging and to increase the pliability of light sensitive layers in which the binding agent is a vegetable colloid or the salt of a vegetable acid such as polyglucaronic acid, soaps or esters of sulphuric acid with organic hydroxyl compounds or unsaturated aliphatic compounds containing at least ten carbon atoms, or water soluble salts of sulphonic acids of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic compounds containing at least eight carbon atoms, are added to the layers. The soaps and sulphuric esters, e.g. Turkey Red oil are softening agents and the sulphonic acid salts, e.g. of mono- or di-butyl or propyl naphthalene are antifogging agents.
