353,283. Frictional pocket igniters. PROJAHN, K. F., 5, Friedrichstrasse, Aschaffenburg, and GILLIS, I., 1, Kaiserstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, both in Germany. Aug. 15, 1930, No. 24508. Convention date, March 19. [Class 75 (iii).] The friction member b is connected by links g with a lever d, which carries the wick-cap f and is held in the closed position against the action of a driving spring i by the hooked end d<1> engaging under a spring- pressed bolt k extending transversely through the bearing frame a. The bolt k is provided with a nut l, by means of which it can be moved axially for releasing the lever d and thereby operating the igniter and which is adapted to be screwed along the bolt against the adjacent wall of the frame a for locking the lever in the closed position. The end d<1> automatically re-engages the bolt when the lever is moved into the closed position, the bolt being temporarily displaced by the inclined edge d<2> engaging the shoulder thereon. The spring i is coiled around the shaft c within an annular recess c<2> in the enlarged head c<1>, one end of the spring being connected to the head and the other to the frame a. The friction member is fixed to the shaft c by means of a groove b<1> engaging flats c3.
